MAC Terminal ("we," "us," or "our") operates the trading dashboard platform at marketactioncenter.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service. By using MAC Terminal, you acknowledge the data practices described in this policy. Where required, we ask for your consent before enabling non-essential analytics or advertising-related cookies.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information — When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing information through our payment processor.
  • Trade Data — Information you input into the platform, including trade entries, journal notes, watchlists, scanner settings, and portfolio data. This data is yours and is used solely to provide the Service to you.
  • Usage Analytics — If you allow analytics cookies, we collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages viewed, features used, session duration, and general usage patterns. This helps us improve the product and measure product adoption.
  • Device and Browser Information — We may collect your browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers for security and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Cookies and Local Storage — We use essential cookies and browser local storage to maintain your session, remember your preferences (such as theme settings), store API keys client-side, and retain your privacy choices. If you opt in, analytics and advertising-related cookies may also be set by our measurement providers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service — Deliver scanner results, AI trade analysis, market themes, and all platform features
  • Improve the platform — Analyze usage patterns to identify bugs, optimize performance, and develop new features
  • Communicate with you — Send important account notifications, billing confirmations, service updates, and changes to our terms or policies
  • Ensure security — Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to accounts
  • Process payments — Manage subscription billing through our third-party payment processor

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards:

  • Data is transmitted using TLS/SSL encryption
  • Sensitive information is encrypted at rest
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis
  • We conduct regular security reviews and updates

Client-Side API Key Storage: Currently, API keys used within the platform are stored in your browser's local storage (client-side). This means your API keys are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. You are responsible for securing access to your device and browser. We are planning to transition to a server-side backend (using Supabase) for enhanced security in the future.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with the following categories of third-party service providers:

  • Market Data Providers — We integrate with third-party APIs to deliver real-time and historical market data, stock quotes, and options flow information. These providers have their own privacy policies governing data they collect.
  • Analytics Services — We use analytics providers, including Google Analytics and privacy-friendly infrastructure analytics, to understand platform usage, improve the user experience, and measure product performance.
  • Advertising and Measurement Services — If marketing campaigns are active and you grant consent, we may use Google Ads conversion tracking, remarketing, or related advertising features to measure campaign effectiveness and reach relevant audiences.
  • Payment Processor — Subscription payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number, CVV, or banking details on our servers. Your payment information is handled directly by our payment processor in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
  • Hosting Infrastructure — Our platform is hosted on reputable cloud infrastructure providers with industry-standard security certifications.
